WMG Technical Logistics is part of World Wide Mobility Group. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of our logistics work, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It applies to visitors to this website and to the business contacts we work with across Europe.

We operate across Europe and process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch data protection law.

What data we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and to run the work you ask us to do.

  • When you contact us through the contact form, by email or by phone: your name, company name, job title, email address, telephone number, and whatever you choose to put in your message or attachments.
  • When you request a quote or become a client: business address, billing details, and the operational information needed to handle your goods, such as collection and delivery addresses, shipment contents, customs documentation and project schedules.
  • Automatically, through server log files: IP address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time stamps, and referring pages. This is standard hosting analytics and is not linked to a named person.

We provide business to business logistics, so almost all of the personal data we hold relates to people acting in a professional capacity for our clients, suppliers and carriers.

Why we use it

  • To answer enquiries, prepare quotations and agree scopes of work.
  • To plan and carry out warehousing, fulfilment, transport, customs and distribution work.
  • To complete customs declarations and meet the record keeping duties that come with bonded storage.
  • To invoice you and keep the accounting records the law requires.
  • To keep you updated on the status of your goods and your projects.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website.
  • To send business communications where we are permitted to do so.

Our legal basis under the GDPR

  • Contract, where processing is needed to enter into or carry out an agreement with you or the organisation you represent. This covers most of our operational data.
  • Legal obligation, where we must process data to comply with customs, tax and accounting law.
  • Legitimate interests, where processing supports running our client relationships, securing our site and improving our service, and your rights do not override that interest.
  • Consent, where you have given it for a specific purpose such as marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it. Enquiries that do not lead to work are removed once they are no longer live. Client and supplier records are kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as tax, customs and accounting law requires, which in the Netherlands is generally seven years. Customs records are kept for the period set by the relevant authority. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed to do the work or where the law requires it.

  • Carriers, hauliers and handling partners who collect or deliver your goods.
  • Customs authorities and customs agents, for declarations and bonded storage.
  • Other companies inside World Wide Mobility Group, where a project spans more than one division.
  • Service providers who support our business, such as website hosting, IT and accounting.

We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Where your data is processed

We process personal data inside the European Economic Area wherever we can. If data has to move outside the EEA, we put appropriate GDPR safeguards in place first, such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies and similar technologies

Like most websites, this site uses cookies to remember preferences and to understand which pages people visit, so we can make the site more useful. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the site working as intended. Your browser maker publishes instructions for managing cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to erase your data, in the circumstances the law allows.
  • Ask us to restrict how we process your data.
  • Object to processing that we base on legitimate interests.
  • Ask us to transfer your data to you or to another organisation.
  • Withdraw consent, where consent is what we relied on.

Email sales@worldwidemobilitygroup.com to use any of these rights. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Children

This is a business to business website. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version always sits on this page with its effective date at the top.
